A graphic novel by Fernanda Frick

Don't give up on your passion.

"Trazos" ("Brushstrokes") is a graphic novel about an artist's journey to recover her passion for art after a huge failure.

About

"Simona was the promise of the national art scene until a complete failure made her decide not to create anything again. Leaving everything behind, she tries to forget ever being an artist. But passion won't so disappear so easily."

Fernanda Frick, makes her comics debut, with this endearing story about figuring out the confusing life in your twenties, fighting for what you believe in and being true to yourself.

Author's statement

The story of "Trazos" mirrors my own in some ways. It took me 8 years to make and finally publish this book. It was a long journey full of learning (because I had never written or drawn something so massive before) and also full of rejections from publishers, grants, etc.But what motivated me was that I wanted to created this story for those (and myself) who had ever felt like giving up on their art or passion, hoping they could find some encouragement in these pages to try again and not give up.
